Common Questions
A-Team charges $9 to $15 per square foot installed, commercial and residential. Where you land in that range depends on the film and the access: a storefront running clear security film prices differently than a west-facing office wall running heat rejection. The on-site quote is free and it's the only way to give you a real number.
Not unless you want it to. Heat rejection and visible darkness are two different specifications, and there are films that cut a large share of the solar energy while staying close to clear. That's part of what the sample step is for.
It can, which is exactly why this gets checked before anything goes on the glass. Thermal stress and seal failure are real risks when the wrong film goes on the wrong dual pane unit, and film should never be applied over a pane that already carries a low-E coating on the same surface. At the estimate A-Team reads the glass type, the coating and the pane spacing, then selects film that stays within the manufacturer's thermal tolerance for that exact unit. If a pane falls outside the safe range, we tell you before the install, not after.
Both. Commercial is the larger share of the work, but residential heat and glare film is a standard job and interior residential film carries a lifetime warranty against fading, peeling and cracking.
